Which Method Should You Use?

Method 1: Village-Wise Beneficiary List (No Registration Number Needed)
This is the easiest way. It shows every beneficiary of your gram panchayat in one table.
Steps
- Open pmayg.dord.gov.in.
- In the menu, click AwaasSoft, then Report. The MIS reports page opens.
- Under Physical Progress Reports, click “House progress against the target financial year”. You can also use this direct link.
- In Fin Year, choose “PMAYG Cumulative progress till date”. It covers every year, so you don’t need to know when your house was sanctioned.
- Keep Scheme as Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin.
- Choose your State. Wait until the District list appears.
- Choose your District, then Block, then Panchayat. Wait a moment after each choice.
- Click Submit. The beneficiary list of your panchayat appears.
- Search for your name using Ctrl + F on a computer, or Find in page in your mobile browser.
Tips to Find Your Name in a Long List
- Search only part of the name, like “Sunita”, instead of the full name.
- Search by father’s or husband’s name if your own name has a different spelling.
- Look at the Village column. One panchayat can have many villages.
- Download the Excel file and use its search and filter options.
- Try both short and full forms, such as “Kumar” and “Kr”, or “Devi” and “Debi”.
Method 2: Search by Registration Number
Every PMAY-G beneficiary gets a unique registration number. It is printed on the sanction letter. It also appears in the village-wise list (Method 1).
Steps
- Open pmayg.dord.gov.in.
- In the Stakeholders (or AwaasSoft) menu, choose IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary.
- Type your registration number and click Submit.
- Your details appear: name, sanction details, instalments released and payment (FTO) details.
Tip: Copy your registration number from the village-wise list once and save it on your phone. You will need it again for any enquiry.
Method 3: Advanced Search (Without Registration Number)
Use this when you don’t have the registration number but want to search one person.
Steps
- Open the IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary search page (as in Method 2).
- Click Advanced Search.
- Select your State, District, Block and Panchayat.
- Enter one detail you know, such as the name, BPL number, bank account number or sanction order number.
- Click Search and check the matching results.
Method 4: Beneficiary Details for Verification (Year-Wise List)
This report is made for social audits. It lists beneficiaries of one panchayat for one year.
Steps
- Open the MIS reports page: report.pmayg.dord.gov.in/netiay/newreport.aspx.
- Go to the Social Audit Reports section.
- Click “Beneficiary details for verification”.
- Choose State, District, Block, Panchayat, Year and Scheme.
- Solve the simple maths captcha and click Submit.
- Print the list or save it as a PDF.
Understanding Your Result
When your name appears in the village-wise list (Method 1), you will see these columns.
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| #SNo | Serial number in the list |
| Village | The village of the house |
| Reg. No. | Your PMAY-G registration number. It usually starts with your state’s letters, such as “UP” or “BH” |
| Beneficiary Name | The person who got the house |
| Father’s/Mother’s Name | Helps tell apart people with the same name. It can be blank |
| House Alloted To | Whose name the house is in, for example “Joint (Husband and Wife)”, “Woman – Married” or “Man” |
| Sanction No. | The sanction order number, with the date in brackets |
| Sanctioned Amount | Total money approved for the house, for example ₹1,20,000 |
| Installment Paid | How many instalments have been paid |
| Amount Released | How much money has reached the bank account so far |
| House Status | How far the house has been built |
What Your House Status Means
| Status (examples) | Meaning in simple words | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| House Sanctioned | Your house is approved | Check that the first instalment has reached your bank account, then start work |
| Foundation / Plinth / Lintel level | Building work is going on | Keep building. Officers will take a geo-tagged photo for the next instalment |
| Roof Cast | The roof is done | Finish the remaining work for the final instalment |
| Completed | Your house is finished | Nothing. Your house is marked complete |
Status words can differ slightly between states.
How Instalments and “Amount Released” Match
The money comes in parts as your house is built. In one Bihar panchayat list that we checked (sanctioned amount ₹1,20,000), the pattern was:
So, if your list shows 2 instalments and ₹80,000, you are waiting for the last instalment. The number and size of instalments can be different in your state, so always compare with your own sanction details.

How to Get Your Name in the PM Awas Beneficiary List
New families are added through the Awaas+ survey. In 2024 the government started a new survey using the Awaas+ 2024 mobile app, which uses Aadhaar-based face authentication. The rules were also updated: there are now 10 exclusion conditions instead of 13, and the monthly income limit was raised to ₹15,000.
What you should do:
- Visit your Gram Panchayat office and ask whether the Awaas+ survey is open.
- Keep your Aadhaar card, bank passbook, job card (MGNREGA) and a mobile number ready.
- Make sure your family is surveyed and that the details are correct.
- Attend the Gram Sabha meeting where the list is read out and approved.
- If you have a complaint, go to the Block Development Office (BDO).
Are You Eligible? A Quick Check
PMAY-G is for rural families who are homeless or live in a kutcha or broken house.
Your family is usually not eligible if, for example:
- A family member is a government employee
- A family member pays income tax
- A family member earns more than ₹15,000 a month
- The family has a Kisan Credit Card with a limit of ₹50,000 or more
These are only examples. Your Gram Panchayat or block office can tell you the full rules.
Real Tips From Our Name Checks
We checked beneficiary lists for several states on the official report in October 2026. These tips come from what we saw.
- Use “Cumulative progress till date”. Single new years often showed “Data Not Found”, while the cumulative option showed full lists.
- Lists can be long. One panchayat we checked had 176 beneficiaries. Use Find-in-page or the Excel file.
- Names are often typed in English capitals or short forms. Search for a part of the name, not the full name.
- Wait after each choice. The official page reloads after every selection. Clicking too fast can reset your choices.
- Save your registration number. It is the quickest way to check again later.
Stay Safe From Fraud
- Checking the PM Awas beneficiary list is always free.
- The official website ends with .gov.in: pmayg.dord.gov.in.
- Nobody can add your name for money. Names are added only through the survey and the Gram Sabha.
- Never share your OTP, ATM PIN or bank details with anyone who calls about PM Awas.
- Report anyone who asks for a bribe to your Block Development Officer or the district office.
